0 On April 26, 2023, the teachers of the department held an educational event dedicated to the International Day of Remembrance of the Chernobyl disaster. The event was attended by almost 100 listeners, among whom were representatives of the student body and teaching staff of UEPA. Associate professor of the department Artyukh Svitlana in her presentation cited the facts of the negative consequences of the Chernobyl accident and the accident that occurred at the Fukushima plant. She emphasized that April 26 is the International Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Nuclear Accidents in the world. As part of the event, it was suggested to watch the video report: "Chennai nuclear power plant after the occupation", which highlights the fact of Russian nuclear terrorism during the full-scale Russian invasion of the territory of Ukraine from February 24, 2022 to April 3, 2022. The speaker urged everyone to remember and prevent the repetition of such events in the future.
