0 On May 21, as part of the production and technological internship, at the initiative of the internship managers Natalia ANTONENKO and Hanna HRINCHENKO, an online meeting of first-level (bachelor's) higher education applicants in specialties 174 "Automation and Computer-Integrated Technologies" and 175 "Information and Measurement Systems" was held with Serhiy NEHODOV, Head of the Labor Department of the South-Eastern Region of the Department of Inspection Activities in the Kharkiv Region of the North-Eastern Interregional Department of the State Labor Service of Ukraine.
The topic of the meeting concerned topical issues of compliance with labor rights of employees, in particular young people, and the peculiarities of their employment. The participants discussed the following key aspects:

• ensuring safe and healthy working conditions by the employer in accordance with the requirements of the law;
• regulation of working hours, including a shortened work week and restrictions on night shifts, holidays and weekends;
• peculiarities of salary calculation;
• duration of annual leave;
• possibility of combining work with study, including by establishing an individual schedule.

Mr. NEGODOV emphasized the importance of young people's awareness of labor legislation as a necessary condition for effective protection of their rights in labor relations.
