0 From April 20, 3rd year students of the Department of Automation, Metrology and Energy-Efficient Technologies began technological practice, and 4th year students - pre-diploma. In order to increase the efficiency and practical value of training, a number of meetings with stakeholders were planned.
The first such meeting took place on April 21, 2026 at 10:00 - an open online lecture was held for the department's applicants with the participation of the employer.
The speaker of the event was Igor Tyupa - Deputy Director for Labor Protection, Technical Safety and Personnel Training of the Kharkiv Heating Networks Communal Enterprise.
The purpose of the lecture was to familiarize the applicants with promising technologies for energy production, storage and energy-efficient consumption.
During the meeting, the speaker presented modern and innovative approaches to energy generation, in particular, the following were considered:

• use of wind energy using balloons at an altitude of up to 2 km, where stable air flows are observed;
• development of solar power plants and global trends in their implementation;
• use of energy from the seas and water flows;
• features of the formation of wind zones and their energy potential.

Special attention was paid to energy storage issues, in particular:

• mechanical storage systems;
• hydrogen technologies;
• alternative approaches to the use of excess energy.

During the lecture, interesting facts about the current state of the energy industry in the world were also presented, in particular regarding the significant share of electricity production from renewable sources and the active development of solar and wind energy in China.
The event ended with an active question and answer session, during which the applicants had the opportunity to receive professional explanations and discuss current issues in the industry.
