0 On May 7, 2026, the Guarantor of the educational and scientific program for PhD "Quality, Standardization and Metrological Assurance" Hanna Sergiyevna Grinchenko, together with the graduate students of the program, joined a practical webinar on the topic "How to communicate your scientific research to a wide audience".
The event was held online (on the Zoom platform) at the joint initiative of Tallinn University (KEKO cluster) and the Baltic University Program (BUP).
The participants of the event discussed the relevance of scientific communication, especially in the field of sustainable development, where it can directly influence people's behavior and the formation of new policies.
During the webinar, applicants and the Guarantor of the program learned:
  • how and when it is most appropriate to communicate about their own research;
  • how to properly interact with different target audiences;
  • how to make complex scientific information understandable and influential;
  • what practical tools exist for effective scientific communication.
The webinar speaker was Arko Olesk — PhD, senior researcher in science communication at Tallinn University and participant in the European project COALESCE.
Participation in such international events is an important step for the development of professional skills (soft skills) of young scientists, which allows them to successfully integrate into the global scientific space and effectively popularize domestic science.
