On October 15, an extended meeting of the Department of Automation, Metrology, and Energy-Efficient Technologies—part of the "Ukrainian Engineering-Pedagogical Academy" Institute at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University—took place. The meeting involved employers and stakeholders who collaborate with the department on the implementation of its educational programs.
Participants included representatives from the energy and industrial sectors: JSC "Ukrainian Energy Machines" (Technical Director Mykhailo Ishchenko and Chief Engineer Hryhoriy Ishchenko); Municipal Enterprise "Kharkiv Heating Networks" (Chief Engineer Andrii Mazur, Head of the Boiler-Turbine Workshop Oleksandr Mazur, and Deputy Director for Occupational Health, Technical Safety, and Personnel Training Ihor Tiupa); and Oleksandr Yepik, Commercial Director of LLC "Scientific-Industrial Service – Energy."
During the event, the guests toured the department’s facilities and educational laboratories. They also discussed key issues regarding the training of specialists, the content of educational programs, and potential improvements to align these programs with the current demands of the labor market.
The meeting served as a valuable platform for exchanging experience, aligning educational and professional needs, and strengthening the university's cooperation with employers. Involving industry representatives in the discussion of educational programs helps enhance the quality of student training and strengthens the practical component of their education.
