The event was held online (on the Zoom platform) at the joint initiative of Tallinn University (KEKO cluster) and the Baltic University Program (BUP). The participants of the event discussed the relevance of scientific communication, especially in the field of sustainable development, where it can directly influence people's behavior and the formation of new policies.

Representatives of the G6 specialty "Information and Measurement Technologies" took an active part in the work of the conference. In particular, the guarantor of the educational and scientific program for PhD applicants Hanna Sergiyevna Grinchenko (member of the conference organizing committee) together with graduate students of all courses presented the results of their work.

0 A scientific seminar on the topic "Use of energy-efficient technologies" was held at the Department of Automation, Metrology and Energy-efficient Technologies of the Research Institute "UEPA" dedicated to the current issues of rational and efficient use of energy resources.

The event considered the essence of energy-efficient technologies as innovative solutions that ensure the achievement of the same or even higher beneficial effect from the use of heat and light while significantly reducing energy costs. It was emphasized that in modern economic conditions, their implementation contributes to:

• cost optimization;
• increasing the reliability of engineering systems;
• reducing the negative impact on the environment.
